The undisputable reality of death knocks on our doors every day but we do not
realize it. Not only is it important to prepare for this journey spiritually by living a life of obedience to Allah, Most High,
but it is essential for us to prepare by organizing our financial affairs. It may create dispute in families if the elders do not do it. This happens because we as a Muslim have failed to observe a key instruction from our Prophet (peace be upon him). The importance of this issue is highlighted in the Sahih al-Bukhari that our Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “It is the duty of a Muslim who has something which is to be given as a bequest not to have it for two nights without having his will written down regarding it.”
To this end we have organized a workshop to help you understand the Islamic rules regarding inheritance and wills. The workshop will have two components. The first will be delivered by a qualified Islamic law firm, IWills Solicitors, who will briefly discuss the rules of inheritance and explain the rules of wills in depth. The second part will be delivered by a legal professional who is a specialist in setting up wills.
